KAT is the most important supervisory body in hen rearing and provides for quality and traceability in egg production. The required standards by KAT go beyond the legal requirements of organic, floor and free-range rearing. They are controlled by accredited European examining institutes.

Furthermore, KAT has developed a comprehensive online-database which includes all production stages of feed plants, hatcheries, hen rearing and egg farms to the point of packing centers and selling points. In addition, the flow of eggs is regularly documented.

By means of the print number (stamp on the egg), the consumer can find out the origin of the eggs.
