KAT regards the development of a quality assurance and monitoring system as its key task. To this end, agreements have been reached with all the participating establishments which stipulate adherence to strict animal rearing and hygiene requirements. Close cooperation is sought with the German Animal Welfare Association when laying down rearing conditions. The aim is to develop a quality label from which the retail consumer can establish at a glance under which form of rearing the eggs were produced.
